Enriching Lives for over 60 years
Seeking improved patient outcomes, Alberta Hospital Edmonton started a community integration project over 55 years ago serving 15 clients out of the basement of the Robertson-Wesley United Church.

Our Services
Our Commitment at the Excel Society
We provide a number of innovative and engaging programs that cater to many people across Alberta.
By collaborating with the people in our care and their families/guardians, we are able to provide them with the right level of assistance that focus on three different categories: Housing, Support and Enrichment.
Community Living
We provide a number of services and living accommodations that care for people with moderate care requirements in a 24-hour staffed home. Clients have private bedrooms and share bathrooms, common areas and kitchen with others in the home.
Designated Supportive Living
Our Designated Supportive Living facilities provide a supportive environment with focused services to the people in our care. Our facilities enable our clients to have immediate access to personal care supports without limiting their privacy or independence.
Day Programs & Services
Day Programs offer individuals with developmental disabilities opportunities to access their communities in areas of Leisure, supported volunteerism and work experience and to support skill development that will enhance individual independence and personal goals and needs.
